A haberdasher is defined as a retailer of men's clothing. The term is rarely used nowadays but the Hood Haberdasher is a revival, an update on the art and practice of procuring carefully selected goods for today's image-aware man.

In many cases, the word "hood" has a negative connotation. The "hood" in Hood Haberdasher describes our local appeal, our connection to where we come from and our origin being in and of our own communities and neighborhoods.
